Your health is your wealth.

The philosophy for Gadoochi brewing. Knowing exactly what you are drinking is as important as knowing what’s in your food.

Gadoochi Brewing began in 2014 when Chris and Nicola bought a small spray free orchard in Roxburgh, Central Otago.

Fed up with all the over sugared products on the market, they created Gadoochi cider, which is made using nothing but fruit and yeast. Immediately after juicing, the apple juice is transferred to the Brewery, where the only thing added from then on is yeast. Preservatives are not even necessary for this special brew, due to the rapid cooling process at crucial times.

This super dry cider was such a hit, the couple purchased and renovated a 100 year old bank building in the centre of Invercargill, and built a state of the art brewery in the back of the newly converted café/bar.

The beer brewing side of Gadoochi has come a long way from Chris’s first brew, made in an old washing machine barrel back in the 80’s. The new state of the art brewery he has built in the brew bar at Tuatara, could easily be described as a piece of working art.

Chris and Nicola make an effort to source ingredients for the beer brewing process that are as natural and organic as possible.

A lot of their hops are locally grown and there is even talk of growing their own strain of Gadoochi hops at the orchard in Roxburgh.
